Check the mating end face: Ensure that the mating end faces of the two steel strip pipes to be connected are flat, and the local gap after closure is less than 6 millimeters. If it does not meet the requirements, on-site adjustments are required.

Overhead pipeline: Elevate the ends of two steel strip pipes to be connected, so that they are at a certain distance from the ground or ditch wall, in order to facilitate the operation of heating tools in the circumferential direction.

Insert heat shrink sleeve: Thread the heat shrink tube onto one end of the two pipes to be connected, and pull it to a position greater than 500 millimeters from the connection end face. Pay attention to protecting the protective paper layer on the inner wall of the heat shrink tube from damage.

Polishing the end face: Use a wire brush to polish the cylindrical surface layer about 120 millimeters long on the mating end face of the pipe to be connected, and the peaks and valleys should be roughened. At least polish the length of three and a half nodes to ensure the quality of the connection.

Cleaning and fixing: Use a clean cloth to wipe off the polished pipe end, align and fix the two pairs of connecting pipe end faces, without any misalignment.

Preheating and connection: Preheat the circumferential surfaces of the two pipe ends (three wave distances from the mating end face) with a red flame to achieve a surface temperature of 40 to 50 degrees. Then, wrap and bake the reinforced fiber heat shrink sleeve at the connection point, requiring it to wrap around the circumference for at least one circle and overlap firmly. Preheat the two ends of the connecting pipe to within the polishing line, so that the surface temperature reaches at least 15 degrees below the softening temperature of the hot melt adhesive.

4、 Quality Inspection and Acceptance After Installation of HDPE Reinforced Spiral Corrugated Pipe      

After installation, a comprehensive inspection of the quality of HDPE reinforced spiral corrugated pipe  connections should be conducted.
